GCSE results day is finally here and we are delighted to share our individual academy successes.

The Sir Robert Woodard Academy in Lancing are very proud of the 8% further improvement in their students achieving passes at grade 4+ and 5+ in English and Mathematics, and the high numbers of students who achieved grades 7-9. Among the many individual successes were Isabel Carter, Megan Porter and Danielle Pacifico, who achieved Grades 7-9 in every subject.

98% of pupils received a 4+ (C and above) in English and 93% received a 4+ (C and above) in Mathematics at Kings Priory School in Tynemouth. Amongst the success stories is Izzie Thorneycroft, who achieved eight 9 grades, one 8 and an A, in addition to an A* GCSE in Music, dropping just 4 marks, and an A* in Latin too, achieved when in Year 10.

More students than ever before achieved a Grade 9-5 (strong pass) and a 9-4 (standard pass) in English and Mathematics this year at St. Peter’s Academy in Stoke-on-Trent. There was also an increase in the number of students that achieved the English Baccalaureate, that includes English, Mathematics, 2 Sciences, History or Geography and French or Spanish.

Abbigail Craggs was over the moon with Grade 9s in both English Language and English Literature as was Aerin Harrison who has achieved exactly the same feat! Polina Zhemchuzhina, who is in Year 9, has scored a 9 in Russian GCSE, which she has studied as an extra-curricular activity!
