Tomorrow's Scientists Commended Today
The Science Club at St Peter’s Academy have been commended for their commitment to science, after showcasing their projects at a fair hosted by Staffordshire University.
The Acting Dean of Sciences at the University, Rob Boast, said, “Every innovation begins with one single idea, and these childrens’ ideas of today can help shape the world we live in the future.”
The showcase followed on from St Peter’s successful demonstration of their hydrogen-fuelled model vehicles, which were presented to thousands of visitors at the Big Bang Fair in Birmingham’s NEC Arena.
Gill Finan from St. Peter’s Academy, said: “We have seen a great change in our pupils. The whole experience has been of great benefit to their confidence and has developed a real thirst for more knowledge.”
