Woodard Academies Trust appoints Hardip Begol as Chief Executive Officer.
Following an open, fair and thorough recruitment process, Woodard Academies Trust is pleased to announce that Hardip Begol will be taking up the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Trust.
Tricia Pritchard, Chair of the Trust, said: "I am delighted that Hardip will be joining us. Hardip brings extensive expertise in leading educational improvement nationally, working with school leaders and other educational professionals. He impressed the selection panel with his clear vision, drive and enthusiasm to pursue high standards and transform the life chances of all our pupils, regardless of background or ability.”

He will take up post after the Easter school break.
Hardip Begol Biography:
Hardip has spent two decades at the Department for Education, where his roles as a Director have included responsibility for: safeguarding in schools and countering extremism, and regulating independent education (2015-2017); and, from 2012 to 2014, the new National Curriculum, school sport, GCSE and A-level reform, and school accountability and performance tables. He led the Department's relationship with Ofqual and Ofsted. As a Deputy Director, he was responsible for special educational needs and disability (2007-10) and Bill Manager for the Education Act 2011.
Earlier in his career he has worked as a trainee chartered accountant, public sector consultant and at the Prime Minister's Strategy Unit.
He has most recently been the Director for Integration and Communities at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (2017-19) and is currently on a career break. He is a former trustee (2013-2019) and current member of the Eden Academy Trust (theedenacademy.co.uk). He was awarded a CBE for services to education in 2017.
